Gerard Barrett, founder and managing principal of PrimeLerner Company., a real estate investment firm located in Newark, new jersey. Gerard a former Newark resident entered the business while attending Columbia University, standing at 6-foot-7-inches Gerard enrolled there in 2003 with plans to study engineering and play power forward, and to acquire at least two residential investment properties by the time he graduated. His  plans to dabble in real estate ended up shifting from playing basketball to playing in the real estate world.
