Lion's Fire pizza a mobile wood fire pizza social venture with a purpose to train, employ and journey with female student athletes in North Minneapolis. Founded by Kathy Nielsen, the intention of Lion's Fire pizza is always to provide safe spaces for young people in North Minneapolis. Using a wood fired pizza truck and a unique model offering above average wages, the Lion's Fire's model provides more than a job to female student-athletes at Minneapolis North High school – it is a community that provides leadership opportunities, life skills training, and a lasting network of support.
2022 will be their third Season, after two very successful pilot seasons. At the beginning of the summer Grace-Trinity community Church kitchen will be their new home base. They are also looking forward to working with other local businesses to add corporate lunches to their schedule.
