Wage theft, spreading in the country, still affect American workers. The Times reported on the rise of wage theft among low-wage workers, which are more vulnerable to the wage theft. The Worker's Justice Project was founded in 2010 to address the racial and economic injustice that low-wage immigrant workers face by building collective power to win institutional change that advances economic, racial, and workplace justice.

Their goal is to empower low-wage immigrant workers to gain a voice in the workplace and build strong and economically sustainable through , organizing, leadership development, and the growth of grassroots economic alternatives. This takes a look at immigrants and american workers seeking protection against their employers.
