The Glentworth Country Store, a store that has developed into a lasting connection in the town of Glentworth located in Saskatchewan. The family who owned the grocery store for decades wanted to retire, but couldn’t find a buyer and were going to shut down. Rather than lose the services of the store, which also serves as a commercial kitchen, in this remote southwestern town, about 60 locals each bought shares to keep the store open. The Glentworth Country store serves as a beacon for the community be supporting local schools; teams; charity events; and it’s a convenient stop for visitors.
