The trailer for “Family Entrepreneurs: Made in America, Taco by Taco.” The journalism unit of Blue Chalk Media produced “Family Entrepreneurs” collaboration with The New York Times video department and business desk. The six-part series celebrates a range of family-owned businesses across the United States—from taquerias to hand-sewn bowties.

This episode, of “Made in America, Taco by Taco,” focuses on an immigrant family business, the Taqueria Izucar—owned by Juan Alonso and Gicela Lopez. The space is less  than 100 square feet, with no tables or chairs, the couple runs a busy Mexican take-out restaurant in Brooklyn with the help of their seven children, aged 11 to 24. Gicela and Juan are confident they’re on the right path to their “American dream,” after spending most of their lives working in factories as illegal immigrants.
