4 years ago written by

Nestled in Salt Lake City’s Granary District, owner Moudi Sbeity and business partner Derek Kitchen have created a beautiful gathering place for the community. Kitchen tables are the building blocks of their community. At Laziz, they see their role as so much more than just a restaurant. Laziz is gathering space of acceptance, good food, and love. Theye are proudly queer, have inclusive hiring practices, and have an open-arm policy to anyone that walks through their doors. Above all, they value the right to not only eat in a place that you love but work in a place that you love.

Specializing in Lebanese culinary tradition, Laziz Kitchen features dishes that honor old word recipes and offering new takes on past favorites such as baba ghannouj, a fire roasted eggplant, and sumac sweet potato fries. At Laziz Kitchen its a proverbial kitchen table that foster a sense of belonging and where connections of trust are built.
