Reaching With Art

Reach Studio center nonprofit, is a -driven, after school and summer program for Lansing, area teens. Providing participants with opportunities to explore a variety of artistic media with local artists, volunteer mentors, and peers. Teens develop skills in -making, management, collaboration, and professionalism as they work on public projects as well as individual portfolios. They are encouraged to commit to at least one semester of the program, which gives them the opportunity to bond with fellow participants and see projects through to completion. REACH teens have installed permanent sculptures at Potter Park Zoo, helped film a monthly tv show, painted murals for other organizations, mounted their own photography exhibit, sold their at art fairs and shows, created on-line portfolios of their work, and many more exciting projects.

Reach Studio Art Center provides a neighborhood space for arts and civic engagement in REO Town. Reach programs are dedicated to mentoring at-risk , urban revitalization, and strengthening community. REACH connects artists with local residents, brings diverse individuals and groups together, and creates an atmosphere of shared pride and creative problem solving.
